The color of our skin, the texture of our hair, our faces; we may come across as ambiguous, and as a young teenager I tried to live up to this or that race. Then it hit me, mainly in college, who cares? I mean really, if I act more this race or that race...what's it to 'em? If they are insecure about it, that's on them. I'm open up for discussion, are you? Once I opened up about growing up mixed race, all of a sudden many others around me began to open up and look into their own roots. Good things.
